Friday Fun and Friendship
For boys and girls from 5 to 11 years of age. We meet on Friday from 6.15 pm to 7.45 pm with choices of free play, organised games, craft corner and table top games. Extra activities include outings, parties, and fund raising for various charities. Run by leaders with many years of training and experience in working with this age group. Our aim is to provide a relaxed and fun filled evening of fun and fellowship with underlying Christian values.

Jigsaw
Jigsaw is for children to learn about Christianity on a Sunday while parents/guardians take part in Sunday Worship

Luncheon Club
The club is for elderly people living in Horsforth. We meet for lunch every Thursday during school term time. The aim is to provide a meal and good fellowship in a friendly and caring environment. Transport is provided. For more details contact:- Mrs W Fairburn. Tel. 0113 2583184

Playgroup
Woodside Playgroup meets every weekday morning from 09:15 until 11:45. All children over 2 1/2 are welcome. The group is OfSted inspected and uses qualified staff.

Thursday Group
We are a small group of ladies who meet most Thursdays (not usually in the school holidays) from 8pm to 10pm. We offer friendship, fun and a wide range of activities e.g. speakers, slide shows, demonstrations, quizzes, games and local theatre visits. We hope to stretch our minds and learn some craft skills! We have a meal together twice a year at various venues, usually with dancing, which is always popular.We function by taking turns at providing the speaker and a light supper at each meeting. Church events and fund raising efforts are promoted at our meetings. If you would like to make new friends and have some fun with us, come and give us a try.

Womens Fellowship
We meet on Monday afternoons from 2.00 - 3.30pm announcements are given then we begin with devotions, hymn, prayers and scripture reading. We then introduce our speaker. Speakers vary from week to week, including Church Ministers and volunteers speaking on various topics, with occasional slide shows. We end with a hymn and the grace. Tea and biscuits then come on the scene and a time to enjoy a good chat. A coach outing takes place in June and an annual dinner in November or December. These add to the enjoyment of meeting with friends. If you would like to try us out, we are sure you will not be disappointed. All ladies are welcome to join us except bank holidays. We also have a summer break from July to September.

Woodentots
Woodentots is a group for Parents/Carers, young children and babies. Woodentots is open 09:30 to 11:30 each Tuesday in term time.

Alpha course
Alpha course at Woodside Methodist Church Outwood Lane, Horsforth Starting Monday 5th October 2009 then for ten Mondays 7pm-9.30pm, with full evening meal included. For more information, contact George Bailey on 0113 2582448 or email: george.bailey@methodist.org.uk
